Black ink puddling under printhead Pixma TR8520

I have a Canon Pixma TR8520. Bought in New about 5 years ago. Really love how it performs when it's working.

Just recently I noticed that as the ink cycles before it starts to print, a large amount of ink starts to ooze out of the bottom of the printhead and puddles onto the paper tray below. I've cleaned the printhead (soaking overnight even) replaced the printhead, but I'm still having ink pour out of the printhead area. Anyone familiar with this issue? I really don't want to buy a new printer.

Hi,

You can try replacing the print head itself. You can order parts through our Parts department. Please note that items purchased directly from our parts department are not returnable and there is a chance that it will not correct the issue you are currently experiencing.

If you don't want to replace the print head, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program.
