Black & White Printing: TS6420a

Will the TS6420a printer work with only black ink installed to print in black & white?

I've search through the specs without finding a response.

With limitations, you can select black only. See page 163 of your manual:

That looks like the limitations are exactly the conditions that I am looking for.

• Plain Paper
• Not selecting Borderless option.

I want a printer that will print Black Only, regardless of the presence of either option:

1. No color cartridges are installed
2. Color cartridges are installed, but at least one is empty.

For my needs, it would be cheaper to send any color printing I need to a print service, such as UPS, Staples, etc.
