After paper jam on mx512 print alignment is off, how do I fix it?

Details: The printer misaligns the text always - doesn't matter whether it's a print command from the computer, or whether I make a copy of a sheet. And this all occurred after I cleared a paper jam from the bottom of the printer. I ran the tool "align print head" about 12 times. No improvement. Very frustrated. The printer was purchased new in August -- only 6 months old. So should I now throw it away???

Since performing mulitple print head alignments did not fix the alignment issue, the printer will require servicing.  You are still within the warranty period; please Contact Us for your servicing options.
