I have a Canon EOS T6 and the firmware is 1.0.1. I understand that the latest firmware is 1.2.0. Where can I find it?

Welcome to the Community Forum, tshammack!
You can find the latest firmware for the EOS Rebel T6 here: https://canon.us/3v8F81Y
We hope this helps!

I get the message: "There is no firmware for the OS version you selected." But Bing tells me that there is. The AI might be wrong.

@tshammack,
Firmware is operating system agnostic. 😀

FWIW, I just checked the link that Mike posted and the only OS that gave me the "no firmware" message was Linux. I tested all Windows and Mac versions. Please understand that what Canon provides is a container, either DNG for Mac or ZIP for Windows. Both, when opened or mounted, contain the same *.FIR file, which is not computer OS specific but rather camera specific. As Peter suggested, even the ZIP for Windows 7 will have the 1.2.0 f/w update for the T6 even if you are on a Mac and d/l a Windows ZIP. If you are using Linux, most flavors natively support ZIP. Also please note that Canon lists its s/w and f/w updates chronologically, so for older updates like this one (2020), you will have to click "Load More" several times.

Once you get to the support page from the link posted earlier, you can also use the dropdowns pictured below to filter the results to show only firmware:

Thank you, Mike! All of the years I've been downloading updates, I've never used that or even noticed it for that matter, LOL!

Canon techs told me to say that I had Windows 10. The firmware appeared when I said that I had windows 10 and I installed it. Everything works great!
