EOS R6 MARK II no choice to connect to wireless remote

My EOS R6 MARK II camera, running firmware 1.7.0, does not give me the menu option to connect to a wireless remote as many YouTube how-to videos show. It only shows enable/disable wi-fi and bluetooth settings selections in the menus. No "Add a device to connect to" appears at all. Clicking on the Bluetooth settings menu, and selecting "enable" only then shows a gray "Connect to, Not Connected" box. I'm trying to pair with a new BR-E2 wireless remote. Am I missing something?

Maybe you are missing a step. I have the R6 II but use a different remote.

No need to go to the BT or WiFi settings in the purple tab 3. The menu item you want is in the purple tab 1, item 2 "Connect to wireless remote". Once selected, you will see "Add a device to connect to". Once selected, you will see the splash screen "Change Bluetooth to [Enable]", under that [Cancel] and  [ OK ]... Select "OK" and BT will enable. While the camera is trying to pair, press the W & T buttons on the BR-E2 at the same time and hold until the pairing is complete, 3 to 5 seconds.

Not related to your question, but it appears that some features of BR-E2 are not compatible with R6 Mark II:

If that matters to you maybe the return window is open to get BR-E1 for lower price.

You're right, I was looking in the wrong place. However, with both wi-fi and bluetooth enabled under tab 3, when I selected "Add a device to connect to" in tab 1, after "busy...", and getting the message to start pairing on wireless remote, it required FIVE attempts (getting the flashing red lights on the remote) for the camera to finally complete the pairing. Very frustrating, but success at last. Thanks a bunch.
