how to composite photos ? I would like to composite 3-4 pictures together

I have DPP on my computer at work I use with my rebel T3i. I just bought a Mark 3 EOS 5d and when I tried to download raw photos with DPP I can see the photo in utiltys but when I download it all I get is a big X.
