Guys, what is your opinion about this?
The camera app already has a shutter function, so why not an intervalometer as well, especially that some older bodies don't have a built in interv... feature.
Note: If canon ever wants to implement this, please make sure it can work in the background, so we can use our phones while having the camera taking the shots + having the ability to turn off the phone screen if we need to save battery.

I dont believe a command that says "hi camera, take a shoot" would need that much bandwidth.
+ u know there are already Bluetooth mice, headphone, remote controllers ...

But the convenience of just having with you whenever, wherever !!
+ you dont need to pay for another piece of equipment
+ there are some cameras that dont have that port (canon m line)

“ though the R7 has that 999 limit “
Have tried entering “000”, yet? That should give you an unlimited number of shots, or at least until the battery goes dead.

Also, there are 3rd party apps that do that
There is a free app on the app store, and a paid one on the play store.
But again, should we rely on third party apps for this simple feature ?!!! it is laterally a "for" loop + the already existing shutter button.
