Unable to access Camera Connect in China; EOS Webcam Utility not working on Mac

WORST SERVICE IN THE WORLD

I have 3 canon cameras. I am unable to log into the Canon camera connect, because I happen to be in China right now. I am blocked from accessing the app I am supposed to use and the only app I can use to connect to my camera. I also pay monthly for the EOS Web Utility and have contacted Canon multiple times that IT DOES NOT WORK ON THE MAC. Nothing shows up and even following directions people here suggest, nothing changes. It is nearly impossible to contact someone and have any solutions. Canon is the biggest camera company in the worlds with the least respect for its customers. There is no quality of service. Only thing that keeps happening is money gets spent and I am unable to use the equipment or software.

Maybe the ChiComms have blocked Canon's website.

I bought 2 of the cameras in China, directly from canon

Greetings,

It's likely the Chinese are blocking access to Canon ID, so using the Canon Connect App would be limited to how often Canon ID needs to check in.  Another user asked what this duration was, and I don't see it in any documentation. Please check with support for an official answer.

EOS webcam utility.  It is only available for users in the United States. It doesn't work in other countries.  This is clearly spelled out in the software licensing agreement.

Okay, but those are two different things.  Just because they were purchased in China doesn't mean that the website wasn't blocked.  I hope you find a solution soon.  Good luck.

I was going to suggest using a VPN, but I then remembered that the ChiComms do not allow the use of VPNs. You might be out of luck.
