EOS VR plugin for Premiere Pro not appearing in Premiere

chantus
Contributor

Hello, I'm using Premiere Pro 25.0.0 and EOS VR Plugin 1-5-10-2-10I on Macbook Pro M1 (Sequoia 15.1)

I've paid the annual subscription of the plugin.

But the plugin does not appear in Premiere.

How to proceed?

Much appreciated, Pablo

Hello chantus,

Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software. Exit all other applications when installing this software.

1. Check that the Adobe Premiere Pro 22 - 23.3, 23.6 or later is installed.
2. Download "vpm-1-5-10-2-10l.dmg.zip" from the download page.
3. Extract "vpm-1-5-10-2-10l.dmg.zip" on the computer to generate "vpm-1-5-10-2-10l.dmg".
4. Double-click "vpm-1-5-10-2-10l.dmg", and double-click the "VPMInstaller" file in the automatically-mounted disc image "vpm15".
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

Thanks for the response. It’s exactly what I’ve done. But there is no Eos plugin in the effects panel of Premiere Pro. And if i import a raw footage it doesn’t show any built in plugin either.

Greetings chantus,

Thank you for providing us with the additional information and confirming that you have followed the instructions to install the plugin. Were there any error messages when installing the plugin or was the installer able to provide any confirmation that the installation was successful?

In case the installation was successful, please check to see if other plugins appear within Adobe Premiere Pro. In case there are any additional settings that need to be implemented within Premiere Pro for plugins to function, then we suggest on reaching out to Adobe for additional assistance.

There weren’t any errors during installation process (did it twice) and it finished successfully. I entered the Adobe forum and it seems that many others are having the same issue, and of course they suggest to contact Canon, the plugin creator. They discuss if the plugin is actually ready for apple silicon chips, to try open premiere in rosetta mode (no luck either), but there is no solution. Also they say that raw files are not supported, but converting them to mp4 doesn’t show the plugin either. And yes, all my other plugins are showing and working well: Boris Fx, FxFactory, Izotope, Filmconvert, Cinematch, Red giant, just to name a few.

I'm having the exact same problem. Please post if you are able to find a solution.

Thanks,

Martin

Hello chantus,

Let's try walking through the subscribing steps to ensure that we have access to the plug-in. I have attached a link HERE to walk you through that process.

Hello John_Q,

I've tried that wprkflow step by step several times, with no luck. Other people have the same issue in facebook groups. I've recorded my screen so you can see the issue. Any help appreciated.

Hey, i too have this problem and the support is the worst. Did you perhaps find a solution? 🙌

No solution yet. Actually Utility VR plugin doesn’t work either. I’ll need to find a windows machine to try if the issue is only mac related
