After updating my Mac Studio to OS 15.2, the VR Utility Application is no longer working correctly.
When I go to export footage from RAW to ProRes, it stalls out at the 5-min left mark, and never finishes.
Can’t process my VR footage now. Can someone from Canon take a look & release an update?

Agree with adding ProRes to the VR workflow. Just tested using ProRes on an Atomos, the EOS VR Utility doesn't like the format as input. Haven't yet found the right combination of conversions to make the Utility happy to recognise.
Have to go back to capturing on the internal card.

I have the same issue. After a few months of waiting for a fix I will be rolling back to Sonoma so I can use the utility again. It works on my Windows machines but I can not export to ProRes or Apple Spatial videos on the Windows apps.
PS: I use the two R7 dual lenses and the issue persists with files from each lens.

This also happened to me, and I can’t operate it at all. It’s extremely frustrating. I really hope Canon can fix this soon.
I’m using a MacBook Pro with an M3 Max chip.

You're on Sequoia, right @huangyi?

I am experiencing this issue as well with MacOS 15.2 and the latest EOS VR Utility 1.5.11. I tried downgrading to version EOS 1.3 but this program crashes as soon as you open it in MacOS 15.2. I called Canon and it was like they were not even aware. I hope they resolve this soon as I have a large amount of VR footage I need to process in ProRes and this is honestly unacceptable. So basically, someone can buy a brand new MacBook Pro, new R5 C, and new dual fisheye 5.2mm, invest $9000-$10000 and not even do anything with it. As much as Canon charges for their products and the length of time this thread has been open, I expect more urgency. Everyone with this issue should contact Canon so we can get the ball rolling on a working version of the EOS VR Utility.

Indeed, Canon is obligated to address this issue, which is a relatively straightforward problem with their paid subscription software. The software primarily involves calculations and file read/write operations, with a focus on the write side. I have provided a detailed log/stack trace of the failure. Notably, it does not significantly interfere with the operating system. Have you taken the time to thoroughly examine the problem?
