I bought a new camera after using the T5 for many years. I had the EOS Remote Utility v2 programmed with macros to allow me to assign the Utility functions to keys on a special keyboard and be able to change to complex settings in just one key press.
Now, with my EOS R100, I had to upgrade from EOS Remote Utility v2 to V3. Things are different but I have spent many hours doing the programming using “Pulover's Macro Creator”. I’m an amateur but I have been using this for years to program the Utility for use with my keyboard. I have always been able to make the keys work the way I want. The “Marco Creator” learns by your key presses and by mouse clicks.
Now, I have run into a dead end, and I wish I were talking to the programmers of the EOS Utility V3 because this is something the users can’t change and I see no workaround.
Here is what I would like:
Then I could work with that and this is how the V2 Remote Utility worked. Right now it is impossible to program this menu and I am losing 16 of my settings which include combinations.
I can only think that different programmers worked on the different menus.
Please see my screenshots below.
I hope I can get some help so I can use the utility.
Thanks for your input.
Regards,
Ed

Thank you Samantha. I was able to get in but it would not accept the EOS part. Only R100 and then it said I had the EOS R100. I was not giving that info when I had tried to get in before since my problem was not with the camera but with the EOS Utility v3. No option for "Operator" or "other". Oh well. I was able to talk to a very helpful Tech and he submitted my request. I don't have much hope that anything will come of it if I am one squeaky wheel out of thousands. At least I was heard.
Now I have to figure out how to get my request down to 1000 characters or less to submit the request to the "Feedback" link that the tech told me about.
Thank you.

If they have the same sort of problem, it would be good if more than one person was requesting consistency from one version to another. I think you are referring to a keyboard and macros. I have spent thousands of dollars sticking with Canon because they had a remote utility that I could program into a keyboard and then they changed it from one version to another. Sigh.

John_Q: I finally had some time to spend on this and I could not get past the "Robot Praetorian Guard" on the answering system. Is there an address where I could send a letter explaining my problem and possible solutions?
Thanks,
Ed

I'll sneak in here and answer ya since this is something I might be able to help with!
What sort of issue were you having? Like, did the automated system give you a specific message about why you could not get through? I want to be sure we report an issue if there is one, and I might be able to give pointers for how to get through!
When you call the line, please say you're calling in reference to your EOS R100, that should get you through! Make sure you remember the EOS part or it might not recognize your camera.
