Why is it in DOP4 I have no adjustments in White balance and I am unable to use the drop-down shot settings?  Thanks for any help.

Hello, Larry!

Are you editing Raw or JPG? DPP is primarily a Canon Raw editor. Usually, when some menu items are unusable it is because you are trying to edit JPG files.

Newton

EOS R5, R6, R6II. RF 15-35 f/2.8L, 50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.2L, 100mm f/2.8L Macro, 100-400mm, 100-500mm L, 1.4X.

Yes sir, just like we all were, and still are for that matter 🙂

A lot of us here only shoot Raw because it gives us more control over the final image. But that doesn't mean it's right for you. I would suggest setting up your camera to shoot both (Raw+JPG) on a few sessions to see which format you prefer or need. If you have picture styles and other settings in the camera set up properly, JPG might be all you need. But if you use Raw, you can change those settings in DPP after the shoot.
