DPP software 4.17.10 freezes continually Win 10 Home 22H2

Good morning  first off i am a newbie 🙂 I have just installed the DPP software onto a fresh install of weindows 10. when I open the software up the program tries to download all my photos from online, i just want the software to deal with the photos on my computer. Every time i cancel the download the soft ware freezes. This auto starts so i have no access to settings prior to the download starting. Any advise would be muchly appreciated.

DPP4 does not automatically download files to the computer, but it does access a designated location and create thumbnails for viewing. 

Uninstalling and reinstall DPP4. 

Try starting DPP4 using this technique:

Go into Tools->Preferences and configure the default folder. Select one on the computer.

Download files to the computer as shown below.
