I took some pictures with my EOS R100 and when I clicked on the camera connect app on my android phone it appeared that i was signed out of the app, this hasn't happened before. I agreed to the terms and conditions and tried to sign in and it said there was an error in my email or password. I clicked on 'need a new password', then reset password. It says an email was sent and to check my spam folder, but I don't get a password reset email.
I have uninstalled the app, restarted my phone and tried to sign in multiple times and nothing works.

I’m on a trip and tried to use the app for the first time in a while. When I open it, the app is greyed out, with a note saying register your camera. When I try, nothing happens. I get directed to Bluetooth or WiFi connection, but neither works . . .

This is all I get when I try to connect to my camera.

Greetings JMIKEG,
After tapping on the top left icon to add a camera, we would see a window appear where the app asks us to register a camera. This is where we can locate the camera model we want to use with the Canon Camera Connect app. After selecting your camera model, we are presented with the methods to connect to the camera from the app which are Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Once we tap on either option, we would then need to get the camera and navigate to its wireless communication menu to have the camera connect to the phone. Follow the steps presented on the camera to where it asks us to check the phone. This is where we can then check the checkbox (if using the Wi-Fi connection method) stating "Camera is now ready to connect" where we would then be able to tap on the Next button to proceed with completing the steps to connect the camera with the phone.

NatalyaP, You missed the point, it isn't that users don't know how to set up a camera in the app, it is that the app used to work with their camera but doesn't now. And when they try to follow the set up steps they can't set it up because it doesn't work.

My workaround was to create a brand new email address and start from scratch. It's horrible.
Canon needs to get rid of this requirement.

This is kind of crazy -- the problem appears to be rampant, and there is no comment on it from anyone at Canon. (And when someone from Canon does reply, it isn't even about the core issue). KNOCK KNOCK: IS ANYONE AT CANON PAYING ATTENTION?

I do all of that. To begin with, I don’t understand why it’s asking me to register my camera. Secondly, I don’t understand why, after it asks me to register my camera, it takes me to the Bluetooth/WiFi connection page. Third, I CAN’T CONNECT. This is not user error here. There are too many people having problems.

I get to here, and it will not connect.

Hello JMIKEG,
I'm sorry to hear that this has been such a struggle to get back working. From the screenshot above, at this point, you would use your phone's WI-FI connection page to connect to the "network name" being displayed there which it looks like you may have done. What is happening from this point? Are you running a VPN on your phone? I have seen some who have issues when trying to connect while on a VPN.

John_Q The app is broken for anyone who signed up before march 27th. As I said when I asked this question I have NEVER used a VPN and I understand how to connect to the cameras WI-FI with my phone. As I said earlier and someone said a couple of days ago the only solution was to create a new sign in on the app, I used the same email and another users used a new email.
I hate to be harsh but STOP blaming the users and ask if they know how to use and connect to the app.
