EOS Rebel XS trigger release

Hello,

Is there a way to add a wired trigger release to my Rebel XS camera?  I'm wanting to do photography of the solar eclipse in April by mounting the camera on a telescope.  I have the solar filter but just need a way to trigger the shutter without touching the camera.

Yes.  You'd need to purchase a Canon Remote Switch RS-60E3.  That's around $22 and available at least at B&H Photo.

Refer to the User Manual starting on page 164 for working with the remote.
