Canon, please make a firmware update to remove the 4gb file limit from the rebel T7

If anyone from canon sees this post, please try to get this post to someone in development that works on the firmware updates for the rebel cameras.
My high school graduation is on Friday, and there is a limit on the camera that stops the recording at 4gb. the problem is that will only allow for 12 mins of recording. normally i would just stop the camera right before that limit and start it again, but my mother would be the one handling the camera as my school wont even let us carry our phones. At first i thought the 4gb file limit was because of the Fat32 file system which supports a max file size of 4gb, but the camera supports EXFat which supports 16 EB file sizes. I don't care if whatever can be done in time wont be stable enough for a production release and i have to use some half baked firmware, I've exhausted all my other options on what i can do to record the entire event. Please at least see what is possible.
For anyone else reading this about to reply with some hateful response, just know that this was my last resort and I've tried as many other options that i can.

Sorry. That is a file system limitation. I don’t see it getting changed.  To have canon see this go to the canon USA webpage and find the little (+) feedback at the bottom of the page.

You can always switch to the lower resolution to get 42 minutes per file. It is about the same resolution as DV, which we thought was amazing back in the day.

there is a software limit of 30mins, and the only possible way to hit that is to set it to 640x480@30

On my T6S, the camera automatically creates a new file and keeps recording after it hits 4GB. Stopping at 4GB might be a built in limitation of the lowest end rebels.

For the short term, you might see about renting/borrowing a camera/camcorder without these limits.

Mom has to press the start button anyway, so in low res just have her press the start/stop at certain times in the program. Use the program and write on it when to press start/stop.

I do not foresee the size limit being changed, either.  The file system is an industry standard.  That’s a computer industry standard, not a camera industry standard.

The FileSystem limit is with the Fat32 filesystem, Fat32 only supports 4gb file sizes.
there is also ExFat which support a max file size of 16 exabytes.

You are making the false assumption that the card slot hardware is capable of reading and writing exFAT format, it’s not.

All true, however, it's my understanding that the T7 treats exFAT SD cards the same as FAT32 SD cards, so it stops at the 4GB FAT32 limit. Something to do with the T7's software but I didn't dig too deep into this. My T7i, on the other hand, will do what's called "file chunking" when using FAT32 cards (auto start a new clip at 4GB) or use exFAT formatted cards to go beyond 4GB.
