remote on camcorder to stop and start

I have a vixia hf r60 canon camcorder will a canon rs-60e3 remote work on this camcorder to start and stop it?

Canon does not offer a remote control for the VIXIA HF R600.

An iPhone or some Android phones can use PIXELA's CameraAccess plus for vixia hf r60 remote control via Wi-Fi.

This is an advantage of R60 over R600.
