Hello, what is the best frame rate for the Canon Vixia HF G20? I am shooting well lit customer testimonials and want to get the best quality.
60i
24p
30p
pf24
???
Thanks for the help

60i = interlaced footage
24p = progressive*, more of a cinema look and good if there is not a lot of motion (there would be blurring at that frame rate), should be a good choice for interviews depending on the look you desire.
30p = progressive*, better than 24p for moving objects, should be a good choice for interviews
pf24 = best used when uploading to web sites (that is according to p. 46 of the user manual) so probably not best for recording interviews.
Between the choices above I don't think you'll go wrong with either 24p or 30p.
*Non-interlaced

My order of preference would be as follows:
24p
60i
PF30
PF24
If the subjects being interviewed are stationary then I would use 24p. Personally, I would get a friend and experiment with the 24p and 60i to see which one looks best.
