Canon Vixia HF M31 "Cannot Record"

Shortly after turning on. My Canon HF M31 camcorder begins to flash "Cannot Record" on the display screen. It will not allow me to enter into the menu without popping back to the "Cannot Record". I have placed several different 16 and 32 gb SIM cards that work within my NIKON D500.

Thanks for letting us know what Canon product you've got. The Vixia HF M31 is an older model which we have retired. While that means that Canon USA no longer offers direct support for it, your friends here in the Canon Community are welcome to offer suggestions!
