Vixia HF M31 - Horizontal white lines in video

Hello,

My Canon Vixia HF M31 has recently begun showing horizontal white lines in the video. Once I realized it was doing this, I can also see these lines in the viewfinder even when its not recording. I have attached a very short video with an example. I am wondering if the Hard Drive is needing to be reformatted or something... Any thoughts on how to fix this?
