Canon VIXIA HF R800 freezing during livestream

I have several people set up with this camera going into their laptops with an AJA U-tap capture device for use during recorded Zoom calls. For a couple people, the shot is freezing intermittently. One person had a brand new laptop... Maybe too much data for Zoom??

Thanks for checking in with us. As you might imagine, we can't guarantee how well accessories we don't make will work with our cameras.

That said, you could have your team do tests with different memory cards in the camera, and then make sure that they are set to shoot 1280 x 720, since that seems to be the native resolution of Zoom. You could also have them do tests between 24 and 30 fps to see if one setting works better.

Beyond that you may wish to check with AJA and Zoom support to see if they have additional recommendations.

Thank you for the response. If I’m not recording and just streaming, is a memory card necessary?
