Camcorder Software 5.0 won't install, says there's no internet access

Hi. I just got a new to me Vixia HF R60, and am trying to install Camcorder Software 5.0. Everytime I try no matter what computer I use, it tells me there's no internet access, which is not the case.

Is there a fix for this issue?

I'm not sure why you would get a message that there is no internet connection. I apologize for the inconvenience there. The Camcorder Software 5.0 is only compatible with a select number of older operating systems unfortunately. They are:

Windows 8 / 8.1 (64-bit / 32-bit)
- Windows 7 SP1 (64-bit / 32-bit)
*Can also be used with Windows 10 (desktop mode only).

You can use a USB connection to transfer files you're shooting if they are photos or MP4 (video) without needing to install Canon software if that is what you're looking to do. If you are recording (video) in the AVCHD file type, then you would need certain software compatible with that file type to import that. A simple internet search could help you with that as Canon does not provide any software for importing AVCHD clips.

Thanks for the reply. I currently have 2 Sony AVCHD cams, and they just stopped supporting the software that would stich those .mts files together. They now have micro gaps that I have to zoom in to fix the sound for them.

In testing the .mp4 files in this cam, the micro gaps are smaller, but still there. I was hoping this software would fix that issue.

I've tried installing on a Win 7, Win 10 & Win 10 laptop, same internet issue.
