EOS R6 Outrageous Cost of tightening up a Loose Hot Shoe

Just tried to set up a repair request for this for my Canon R6 and got an estimate of $405. Why is it so expensive?

Tightening up a hot shoe for $405? No thanks. This is worse than outrageous. I'm thinking of ditching Canon for good.
