I need recommendations for a good scanner program to use on my Windows 10 desktop computer with my Canon imageCLASS MF743Cdw. Preferably free or low cost.

Every few days my MF743Cdw laser printer will spontaneously print a page with a large gray v-shaped chevron occupying the top half of the page. Is there any way to stop it from doing that?

My new MF743CDW defaults to printing 2-sided from all programs including Word and Excel. Even when I tell Word or Excel to print a document 1-sided, it defaults to printing the next document 2-sided. How can I change the default to 1-sided printing?

Thanks Rick. I had tried using the printer's control panel but was not able to figure out how to change defaults. After getting your reply I tried using the printer driver and it worked!

I believe page 81 has to do with the initial configuration of the fax. I need to know how to reconfigure the fax settings after the initial configuration has been completed.

I was using Live View. To clear the camera settings I used [Clear all camera settings] under the fourth wrench tab.
