Hey everyone, I need some help. I have a Canon EOS R50 camera and recently bought a Godox TT600 2.4G Wireless GN60 Master/Slave Flash. I'm having trouble connecting the flash to my camera. Any advice would be appreciated!

And in my flash control menu, the external flash fix. Setting says “ this menu cannot be displayed. Incompatible flash or flash’s power is turned off.”

Is the flash in the hot shoe. Also your camera CAN NOT act as a Radio master for off camera speedlites. The particular speedlite ONLY supports radio. Some cameras support being Optical Masters via the built in flash. If its not in the hot shoe the External Speedlite Control menu IS NOT going to work. Also this camera requires the AD-E1 hot shoe adapter to work with legacy speedlites. This camera lacks the older 5 pins to make older speedlites to work. Also there IS NO Guarantee that 3rd Party gear will work on your camera. That's up to the 3rd Party Manufacturer to do so NOT Canon.

You will need to buy a Godox transmitter (e.g. X1T-C). That will work just fine as is. If you want to maintain weather sealing, you'll need a "never gonna find it" AD-E1 adapter.

The R50 doesn't support legacy speedlites and transmitters natively. Thus requiring the adapter there is no way around this limitation.

I stand corrected.
Not even a single pin, Canon?

Yes it only is natively compatible with digital hot shoe accessories natively. Older speedlites can be adapted for use.

It still won’t work in the hot shoe natively without the AD-E1 hot shoe adapter. The legacy 5 pins aren’t there. So the flash won’t fire at all. Also I don’t think the EOS R50 can act as a master flash.

With the ad-e1 hotshoe adapter can I use a sync cable with the tt600 to the r50 and it now be able to act like a ttl?

Yes but that flash will still not be compatible with your camera. We’ve had issues with Godox speedlites in the forum. They’ll try often cause the camera to lock up. When the camera needs an AF Assist Beam from the speedlite. The speedlite will switch to Intermittent Flash Firing. The camera locks up with an error code. Turning off the AF Assist Beam or setting it to LED AF Assist ONLY. Will still cause the camera to lock up. The AF Assist Beam will still fire from the speedlite. There’s no way around this other than using a Canon Speedlite.
