Novatron lights compatibility with EOS Rebel T3

I have a canonEOS Rebel T3 and a Novatron 240 flash kit. I bought a Wein Hot Shoe Safe Sync and attached it by the proper cord to the light’s power box It isn’t tripping the flash bulbs. I don’t know what settings I need on the camera or is this just not going to work with this camera?

Thanks Mike. A pc fits into this kind? Or do I need another cord that has household prongs for the Novatron connection and something else for the camera end?

The adapter I showed uses a standard PC connection. There might be other types with other types of connectors.

Ok I got a speedlite and it does work with my T3 so I guess that means I didn’t burn out the camera?  I’ve ordered a new hot shoe with pc connector to see if that works instead of the Wein

If you used a Canon speedlite and got a correct exposure and it fired. Then you haven't burned out the camera's hot shoe circuitry.
