The raw file was processed in Digital Photo Professional. The image was edited in Perfectly Clear SE v3.

The tracking abilities of the 7D Mk II with cluttered backgrounds continues to amaze me.

The post processed photo below is the 4th in a series using the 7D Mk II, EF 100-400mm L IS II with a 1.4X TC.
So this is f/8 AF with Center AF point and surrounding 'helper points.

OK I d/l your shot and looked at the exif.  You use similar settings to what I do.  Are you using Raw format?  You should.

I would drop the ISO to 1600 which, in this case, would have dropped your SS to 1/1000 still pretty fast.  Providing all else was the same.

I think I would set Av to f8, however.  If possible, even if you have to set ISO back to 3200.  It seems most lenses like f8.  When you go to either end stuff happens.  These are trade offs, however.  You just need to see which one or series of settings works best.  I like f8 most.
