From last Friday night show using 1DX II and 1DX III bodies with EF 24-70, 70-200, and 400 f2.8 glass. Exposure info in photo captions. The final image was caught in between snaps, I liked the setting of the rehydrating player and it shows the level of detail the 1DX III and EF 400 f2.8 can capture in low light with the ISO at 20,000 for this quick non-action capture.

These look like great shots under challenging conditions. I am not a sports photographer, but I can admire the genre and the skills required to get the images. As to American Football... as a foreigner, I struggle somewhat with the rules of the game and its apparent 'play the man' approach. In NZ we play rugby, which is all about who has the ball, so you can't interfere with anyone else, and players wear very little in the way of protective gear. Games are over in 80 minutes - with perhaps some injury time added on.
I remember visiting my Canadian in-laws some years ago and the guys were watching the Superbowl event. I was not inclined to do so - enjoying my bride's company and that of her sisters, so I asked how much longer the game had to run. I was told 15 minutes, so I came back just after that to be told it had 9 minutes to go! 🤔
