Dancer on the Dock

I was shooting flowers and butterflies at Reddie Point Park on the south bank of the St. Johns River in Jacksonville back in May 2015. There is a 400 foot dock that goes out into the St. Johns that attracts fishermen. Well, this youmg lady was practicing her moves while grizzled old fisherman were catchin' dinner. it was indeed an odd sight. At that time, I was still using a Rebel T4i, mostly in "P" mode, but had invested in the 300mm f/4-5.6 L IS USM lens. This shot was taken from 340 feet way (measured with Google Maps).

Very cool Roger!   This reinforces that the camera doesn't make the photo, you do!

Thank you, Trevor. I was able to get some very nice shots with the T4i. Sometimes, I just seem to "know where to stand" 🙂
