I am an eighty-year-old Retired US Navy photographer (21 Years). I shoot photos under the name Microdac. I love Canon equipment for many reasons. I use the Canon 90D as my primary Camera. It is a 4K camera that uses both EF and EFS lenses, which is a massive issue since I have used Canon lenses for many years. I have many Canon Lenses. Another significant issue is that the Canon 90D is self-focusing and takes 4K videos. That's huge! I aim to raise enough funds for the Canon R5 Mark 2, My final Camera.

Microdac,
I really enjoy the photos you posted and thank you for your 21 years of service!
I'm curious as to what macro lens you use on your 90D? I had a EF 50mm f2.5 compact macro and loved using it until the board failed. It focused noisily and slowly, but was optically wonderful. Your photos make me want to replace the 50mm macro sooner rather than later.
In addition to macro photos and presumably video (you mention 4K video in your post) do shoot anything else? If so, it would be great if you'd post some shots.
Thanks for sharing your photos!

Dear LZ,
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Canon has many lenses for the 90D (since it uses both the EF and the EF-S lenses). I love that camera.
My favorite lenses are the 18-135mm, the 24-105 mm, and my 60 mm macro (for close-ups). Supposedly, it is not the shortest lens that Canon makes, but it serves my purpose.

Microdac,
Wonderful shots and thanks for the recommendation on the EF 60mm macro. At an appropriate time, I'll have to look into finding one.
A couple of years ago, I decided to become reacquainted with photography and got a Rebel T7 kit and really enjoy getting back into my more or less lifetime hobby. It didn't take me long to start accumulating lenses and accessories and learning digital photography including dabbling in macro photography.
Late last month, I upgraded to a 90D and really enjoy and appreciate the advancements in the 90D vs. the T7 while still having the familiar feel of a EOS DSLR. I look forward to expanding my skills and improving my images as the 90D becomes more familiar for me and using it becomes second nature just as it was for the T7.
Regards,
LZ
