I have same issue with a code: 2,156,80, but it happen after it fell down, I use windows 10 pro

There may be a internal hardware issue that occurred when the scanner fell and it would require service. 

If the scanner is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
