imageFORMULA CR-120 OCR not working on checks

YoussefLagtab

We are currently facing some challenges with our Canon CR-120 scanner and the .NET SDK for retrieving check information through OCR.

Here are the details of the problem we are encountering:

Hardware: We are using the Canon CR-120 scanner for our bank check scanning process.

Software: We use the .NET SDK to extract check information using OCR.

However, despite our best efforts, we are couldn't read the text printed on the checks, neither the handwriting on the check. keep in mind that the CMC7 can be extracted.

Could anyone kindly provide us with the necessary resources, documentation, or any support that would help us overcome these issues?

Thanks.

hey, sorry for the late reply.

We are using Windows, we are facing problems about specifying the OCR zone as well as the accuracy of the extraction.

Even after specifying the OCR zone to a custom area, it keeps reading from the top left, and it extract about a dozen of characters only and the rest is garbage value. We tried all the OCR fonts but with the same outcome.

Thanks.
