I just purchased a ImageFORMULA RS40 scanner. I followed the software install directions and all was going well till I turned on the scanner and the CaptureOnTouch software tried to execute. I am running MacOS Sonoma 14.6.1. The error message that was displayed was: "CaptureOnTouch" is damaged and can't be opened - You should move it to the trash - This file was downloaded on an unknown date. Any suggestions??
Thanks

I went to the Canon USA web page, established a My Canon account, then I registered my new scanner, then I went to the support page and selected to contact them via email. I entered my problem on an email form page the website provided and the next day I received an email with the solution. The summary of the solution was that they gave me a different link than was provided with the hardcopy documents that came with the scanner. At this link I downloaded the scanner Twain driver and CaptureOn Touch software appropriate for my MAC OS version. The new Software worked great. I would paste the solution here, but it is long and detailed. I recommend anyone with similar problem do the same.
