CaptureOneTouch V5 + imageFORMULA DR-G2140 = Insert Pages Crash

PaulCrisp

I am using a Canon imageFORMULA DR-G2140 and CaptureOneTouch V5.

Running on Windows 10 (64) and the OCR Module is installed as well.

The insert page function in CaptureOneTouch V5 is crashing the program.

This is a fresh install of the program and drivers. Sometimes I will get an error message about an object not found and returning null and other times the program will simply freeze.

The error began about a week ago and is persistent across multiple computer stations.

Hi,

Please download and run the Windows Registry Tool (file called DR_RegistryFix.exe). This program will check if there are any issues with accessing the Scanner Driver installed on your computer.

The tool can be downloaded from the same website:

https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageformula-dr-g2110-usb-production-document-scanner

When the page opens, please click on the SOFTWARE & DRIVERS symbol to the right of the picture of your scanner. Then, make sure that the correct Operating System and Version is listed under the Downloads section.

Below that, you will see the first 8 of 27 software options. Please scroll to the bottom and click on LOAD MORE. Next, scroll to the bottom and click on LOAD MORE again. Then, click on LOAD MORE a third time.

After you click on LOAD MORE three times, you will see the Restoration Tool for Windows Registry at the bottom of the list. Please click on the DOWNLOAD button for that file and wait for it to download.

Once the tool is downloaded, please open the following web article and follow the instructions:

https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/s/article/ART181189

When the Windows Restoration Tool has finished, please restart the computer (as the last step mentions) even if it did not find or fix any issues. When your computer finishes turning back on, please try using CaptureOnTouch to scan a document.

If the issue persists, you have performed all of the troubleshooting steps that we are able to provide via email. We will have to recommend that you call our Enterprise & Desktop Solutions Divisions at 1-800-423-2366, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST (excluding holidays).
