Installing the software from the CD, as nothing happened when the scanner was plugged in to the desktop via the included cable. Running an HP desktop that's less than 2 years old, IntelCore i7-14700F with 16GB ram. Windows 11 Home, and is up to date. No other updates (including Windows) are running. Install is stuck on 'Scanner detected' and showing step 3. Any hints on how to get the software properly installed?
Thanks,
Mark

Greetings,
To be safe,
I'd grab the latest available software here:
https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/canoscan-lide-400
Run the installer first and don't connect the scanner until prompted to do so.
