Hello rvonmaur,
I understand that face detection settings seem to be grayed out in the menu of your XC15.
There are certain things which will make Face Detection not available:
- When shutter speed is slower than 1/30
- When shooting mode is set to SCN and night scene, low light or fireworks is selected.
- When fast/ slow motion is set to [x1/4].
- In camera mode, when drive mode is set to AF continuous.
- When the Camera Setup> Rolling Shutter Reduction setting is set to ON.
