I work for a church. We shoot a prayer service weekly. The pastor stands in the frame and is in focus. The pastor turns and kneels, face away from the camera now. Camera stays in focus for 10 seconds and then drifts out of focus. Nothing in the frame is in focus. Happens every two to three weeks. We use auto-focus with face detection.
What can I do to prevent the camera from drifting out of focus? Thanks for your ideas!

Also having problems with autofocus and focus drift on an XA40 camera, and the problem seems to be getting worse with time. Does anyone know if there is some way to test the autofocus system to confirm that it's functioning properly?
