Hi! Working with a new XA65 on Windows 11 XPS computer.
Strange thing with the data USB port on the camera. When the port is set to GPS mode, in the "Media" playback setting, the computer recognizes and can read and download video. However, when the port is set to UVC video output, in the Media playback setting, the computer does not recognize the XA65 at all!
From the instructions, it seems that the computer should recognize and allow me to download my clips when set to UVC video mode, but it does not even see the camera, unless the USB port is set on GPS mode.
Everything else seems to work fine, I can even do streaming on the computer when its on UVC video output mode just fine. Just can't download... sigh.
Is this normal? What have I missed? Thanks in advance if you can help or straighten me out!

Hello JayCanonXA65,
That is normal behavior. The [UVC Video Output (UVC)] mode is specifically for using the camcorder as a "webcam".

Thanks, John. You are right, of course. In working through the manual, the statements are a bit generalized, and not as specific as I would like, or maybe it just didn't sink in. I appreciate your response. Quite different from the older Vixia prosumer models I was used to, but I'll work with it!
