Canon c300 audio hiss

KBZK

We recently bought a Canon eos C300. We have noticed a hiss in the audio when we hook up a wireless mic via the xlr input on the LCD monitor. Anyone have this happen and have any troubleshooting techniques.

Hi KBZK!

Thanks for posting.

To help us and the community, please describe your setup in more detail.  What particular wireless mics to you have?  Does this happen when you connect wired XLR mics?

Hi, we have the same issue. When audio is set to Mic or Mic +48 V then between 5 and 10 you can hear very clearly hissing that is heard on recorded material. In this situation we have to record audio throuh mixer and "line" setting (which works fine). We have sent the camera to the service in Poland/Germany twice but they  returned the camera  and said it is normal for this camera. Pathetic! If you Canon people don't believe me - see the open service tickets for sn 533701300040.
