Canon XF Plugin for Avid

The Canon C300 has the option to record 24.00 fps. To my knowledge, this frame rate is not currently supported by the Canon XF Plugin for Avid Media Composer AMA linking. What is Canon's recommended workflow for Avid editors?

Thanks for posting.

There is a note in the documentation that comes with the plugin download about compatibility.  For your reference, HERE is a link to the PDF.  It should still work with the 24P(23.98) framerate.  There is no established workflow in cases like this, but there are a few directions you can go.

1. Shoot the video in 24P(23.98).  This may be the best option as it will retain the best video quality while not requiring you to use a different editing application.
2. Transcode the video to a supported format.  There are many applications on the market that transcode video into formats that are usable by many different editing applications.
3. Use a different editing application that supports the 24.00P framerate.
