Canon XA60 unstable video

Ive filmed with the Xa 10,11,15,20,30,40,50 for the past 6 years. I just got the 60 and in field walking footage is horrible, it makes this weird jerk unstable footage when walking. Im not doing anything differently and all the others over the years were smooth. I've tried all video settings, is it just me or my camera?

Hello HhmediaZA,

I would suggest setting the image stabilization to Dynamic IS. Dynamic IS compensates for a higher degree of camcorder shake, such as when walking, and is more effective as the zoom approaches full wide angle. You can find this setting in the [Camera Setup] menu > [Image Stabilizer].

Optical image stabilization (OIS), which is integrated with the Canon XA60, helps minimize shaky video. Make sure the OIS is turned on and configured properly: Dynamic IS option: This option minimizes greater shaking and motions and is perfect for handheld shooting. Standard IS Mode: For smoother footage or when using a tripod, use this for small vibrations. Powered IS Mode: Ideal for zooming in on far-off subjects to reduce shake at telephoto distances. using KNS Candrill Team

I only get the ois setup with a continuous push of a button which is pointless. Fyi i got the video somewhat okay, the issue comes with left to right movements, up and down it's smooth. Pain in the behind im really not impressed buy this camera
