Hello,

My camera canon XA11 got a problem some black dot on the image, but still on warranty.

After send the camera on repair I have been told that warranty doesn't cover that parts of camera (that the sensor).

Can someone help me to have more info about that.

Thanks

Is it literally just a single pixel that will always be black in your footage?   I couldn't find a Canon policy regarding sensors, but here's one for Stuck or Burnt Pixels on LCD panels.   In that, if less than 0.01% of pixels are bad, it wouldn't be treated as an issue.  I suspect the sensor is treated in a similar way (though the percentage may be different).

Yes its on the footage continuously and more than 0.01%.

As per they check the sensor they told me it have been affected by laser.

Don't know why warranty doesn't cover that part.
