EOS C500 Mark II monitor out

Asielnorton

My monitor turns on but stays black or blank. I can tell it’s on. Is there anything I can do myself? It says online I need the monitor to do a favorite reset. Is this true? I don’t want to have to trust or pay for a technician if it’s just a simple setting that’s gone bad or something I can fix myself. I have a canon c500 camera mk ii.

Hi, Asielnorton!  To clarify, are you referring to the LCD screen that's part of your EOS C500 Mark II or are you referring to an external monitor that you've hooked up to the camera?

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.  If you're in the United States, you can also call our Cinema EOS support line at 1-855-CINE-EOS (1-855-246-3367).

Thanks and have a great day!

If it's an external monitor, what is the brand and model?  Also, what kind of cable are you using?

No it's the actual monitor of the camera. if it were an external i could just use the camera monitor to attempt a factory reset or something.

No it's the actual monitor of the camera.

Greetings,

Please do as Danny suggested and contact Canon Cinema EOS support.
