Hello, unfortunately I can’t find the Register/recall shooting function on the Canon EOS C50 in photo mode. I really enjoy using this function on my Canon EOS R3 to quickly switch from Av to Tv (1/30 sec, 1/50 sec, etc..)
Do you guys have any other practical solution to switch from Av to Tv with a single button, without having to press the Mode button separately? I like using this feature at sports events to quickly and spontaneously capture panning shots.
Cheers

Greetings,
In photo mode, you should be able to go into the Orange Camera shooting menu tab 3 and select Customize Buttons. Press Set. Then scroll through the (photo) column on the left until you find the button you want to customize. On my body the AF Point button is convenient. On your C50 maybe button 14? Then press Set. Now scroll down until you find the register recall shooting function. Familiar icon camera with an arrow going in on the left and out on the right. Press Info. Now select which functions you want to customize with check marks. Then customize each option. When you're done press register current settings at the bottom of the menu. I'm sorry I don't have screenshots, I don't have an C50. Let me know if this helps

Hello Rick,
that’s exactly how I thought I would do it as well. However, in the menu for assigning the buttons, the “register recall shooting function” isn’t available. I have the icon on the R3 and the R6 Mark III, but not on the C50. I’m hoping for a firmware update that will add the function, but in the meantime it would be great if I at least had another method that works much faster than pressing the Mode button and then switching back and forth between Av and Tv. That simply takes far too long for spontaneous and fast-moving situations.
best,
Stefan

Are you in a mode like P or M? Some menu options don't show up in automatic modes.

I tried it in Av, M and P mode. Firmware 1.0.3.1

It doesn't have it according to Google search.

John,
I tried that too and got two different results, yes it has it, no it doesn't. I also looked through the manuals... R5 and C50 (photo) but couldn't find anything definitive either way. If it doesn't have it I'm surprised but the button layout is different on the C50.
