I picked up a used Pro-100 to see if self printing is for me but I have a problem.. 5 blinking lights which means an issue with ink or printer head. It came with ink that wasn't used for a year.
I cleaned the printer head, put the ink back and still the five blinks. I figured the ink must get tossed but before I do that...could it be the printer head. Each goes over a 100 bucks so I'm asking
thanks in advance

I checked on line and it looks like 5 falshes is print head not installed or print head damaged.
If you are sure head is properly seated then the printer senses damage.
I would recommend you search on line for one of the $129 deals Canon runs periodically on this printer. You get a brand new printer, complete set of ink and usually some sort of paper package.

Thank you very much- I will wait for your follow up
the $129 printer deal is for a new printer with ink or a new printer HEAD with ink?
my best

When the rebate is in effect it's for a complete printer. You need to just keep checking on Amazon or the main photo dealers like Adorama and B&H.
