imagePROGRAF PRO-300 Won't Print without User Intervention

Hello,

my third day with my Prograf 300 and I'm slugging it out getting individual prints with a heavy art paper. My issue for now is, i get an image from lightroom to the canon layout app, set the parameters and hit print. my Laptop, MacBook Pro running Montery talks to the 300 but I have to get up, cross the room and hit start print on the 300's LCD. Am I missing a setting, or is this just the way it is,

If you are using the Manual Feed Tray that’s the way it is. I have the Pro-100 with same issue. On a Windows machine (I print from both) hitting return will allow printing.
