imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 print head joint lever

the screen on my imagePROGRAF PRO-1000 says the joint lever is not closed completely.   sure looks like it is to me.   does anyone have any suggestions ?   thank you

What to Do

Close the joint lever following the procedure below.

1. Open top cover.

2. Push joint lever securely.\Note

   • Push the joint lever until it clicks into place

3. Close top cover.

It always pays to double-check.  One time I had my boat towed off the water and missed using a whole trip because I THOUGHT I had checked the safety on the ignition switch.  It was loose.  When I around people in support the first question when a computer wouldn't boot was "are you sure it is plugged in?"  They said it was surprising the number of times the answer was "oh, wow, no, sorry".  

So, first, try the steps in the manual.  Hope it works!

I should have included the next step, shouldn't I?  Next, you should contact the Canon printer support team available Monday through Friday from 8am to 8pm (ET),and can be reached at 1-800-OK-CANON (800-652-2666). 

You should make sure your printer is registered in your Canon account first, of course.
