I have a Canon PRO 1000. It has printed perfectly until very recently. Now all my prints come out with a yellowish caste/tint to them. I have a calibrated iMac monitor using the Datacolor SpyderX Pro. I have calibrated the printer in the maintenance area. I use Lightroom for all my photo editing and printing. For the monitor in Settings I have selected Apple Mac-1 for color profile created using the SpyderX. I use an ICC profile for the paper I use but have tried all the generic settings. Same result. In Lightroom I have tried various settings in the print module. Under printer settings/Printer options I have tried using calibrated, default, and diusregard value. same results. I have done print head cleanings and all colors come out OK. Cleanings make no change. Various photo papers also tried with same results. Yellowish looking. Bad colors due to yellow cast. Any ideas will be appreciated.

Good luck - please post your results so we can see if anyone has found a successful path to correct this issue. Like you I used ICC profiles from multiple paper manufacturers for years and the colors were always amazing. I'm fairly certain I can link the change to a MAC OS update, and after that the printer has never worked the same. New drivers had subtle changes but overall, the only thing I found acceptable was to let the printer manage the colors.

I'm posting to let you know that I seem to have stumbled upon a solution! I can't quite believe it, because it's so simple, but it's working for me and someone else who was having similar issues with colour and posted on the thread I started on here. The solution involves the sequence in which you select your paper type and 'Print' button. Try following these instructions:
In Lightroom, select the paper type from the 'Printer' button on the bottom right (not Printer Settings) - Printer/Printer Options/Quality & Media/Media Type/Matt Photo Paper, Save, then Print straight from the pop-up box remaining - not from the 'Print' button bottom right. Obviously, select the paper you're using.
Please do let me know if it works for you....it's been working for me for 5 days now! After 5 months of tearing my hair out, it really is a welcome discovery.
