I have owned my Canon ipf6350 for a couple of years with no significant problems. Then about a month ago I got messages that a printhead needed replacement and I determined that it was the left head, which I replaced.
Afterwards it printed successfully only a couple of times and I got a new printhead error. Tests showed that the right head was the problem, so I replaced it.
But now the NEW right printhead will not align properly. I have tried multiple times to align it without success.
What would experienced users of this printer recommend?
--is this an indication that the new right printhead is defective? (Is that even likely?)
--is it more likely to be a problem with the motherboard or other electronics?
--other possibilities?
Some people suggest that I switch the two new printheads to see if the one currently not aligning will align in the left position. Should I try this?
Any help will be appreciated.
