Print Studio Pro not recognising programs

lroding

Hi,

I've just installed windows 10 and the complete Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop CC 2015 and Lightroom CC 2015 but each time I try to install thePrint Studio Plug-in I get the following message:

" A version of Adobe Photoshop supported by Print studio Pro is not installed. A supported version of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements oe Lightroom is required to install the plug-in for Print Studio Pro"

If I have photoshop open when trying to install it tells me to close it before it can install which tells me it at least recognises I have Photoshop installed.

I have Windows 10 (64bit) with a intel core 7 cpu 950 & 3.07Ghz with 500gb ssd main drive with 5 other internal drives.

I have the latest versions of all Canon Pro100 software and drivers.

Canon print Studio Pro 1.41.

I have tried uninstalling the plugin software and restarting and reinstalling to no avail.

I would appreciate any ideas

Thanks for reading this

Hi thanks for your reply.

If you look at my posting I already have version 1.4.1

But thanks anyway

I missed that. But I have same basic configuration and it works fine.

Have you tried logging out of Creative Cloud and back in again?

Hi

I've tried logging in and out of CC but that didn't help.

I've also uninstalled and reinstalled CC and all the programs but I still get the same error message saying their is no compatible programs.

Any other ideas?

I just tried to print again today (after several W10 updates and a new update to LR CC) and I am no longer able to access PSP.

I have sent an email to Canon support line. Just replied back to them with first round of responses to their questions.

Hi,

It looks like this may be a general problem. Would appreciate knowing the outcome 🙂

Here is a workaround/fix received from Canon support and tweaked a little..

1.   Be sure you are in Hidden Folder View mode.

  1. Browse to C:\Users\(your user name)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\ and create a folder called "Modules" (or verify you have one).
  2. Run the plugin installer again and if it fails to detect, run installer again and select the Next button, browse to the Modules folder and install the plugin into the folder you created (or the existing Modules folder).
  3. That worked for me.
  4. I am waiting for Canon to tell me the appropriate PS CC folder.

That's great.

Thank you John.

That installed into Lightroom and is working fine.

Look forward to the Photoshop workaround
